05/02/2007 – Sterilgarda Europe Top 12 held in the wonderful Arezzo town was a great success from all points of view: Italian organizers were able to attract around 3.000 spectators per day and a wide TV, radio and media coverage. The 37th Europe Top 12 edition has been won by the European Champion Vladimir Samsonov (his fourth victory) and the Dutch 33-years-old Li Jiao that celebrated the first Top 12 triumph in her carrier, beating Greek Kalinikos Kreanga and Italian Nicoletta Stefanova runners-up respectively. By winning the title after two third places in the 2005 and 2006 editions, Li celebrated the first Top 12 triumph for the Netherlands after 16 years, when Mirjam Hooman succeeded.
ITTF President Adham Sharara also attended the Italian event marked by the glamorous main hall set-up.
